A rare job opportunity has arisen for a Packaging Manager to join our friendly brewing team at St Peter’s Brewery located in Suffolk in the UK during an exciting time of expansion.

We are looking for a highly organised person with an excellent eye for detail and a can-do attitude to report to our Chief Operating Officer on a full-time basis. If you are passionate about working in the beer industry, plus you are results-driven, we need you!

Our minimum requirements are that you need to have at least five years’ experience leading a team in a fast-moving packaging environment and a proven track record of problem-solving. 

Duties will include leading our packaging team while helping manage the transition of our current packaging line to a state-of-the-art bottling, canning and kegging line. You will also be responsible for implementing and improving our quality processes to ensure that the quality of our beer is maintained at a high standard. Alongside this, you will monitor and deliver critical KPI’s such as GLY, LEF, losses, utilities usage and productivity in support of the overall strategic goals of our brewery. The safety and wellbeing of not only the packaging team, but other employees, contractors and visitors in the packaging area is also an important part of your role. And on a creative and more challenging level, you will be involved in taking the lead on technical and organisational aspects of packaging-related projects.

The working week will be Monday – Friday for approximately 45 hours / week.

The starting date for the position is as soon as possible.

Due to the location of the brewery in rural Suffolk, having your own transport is essential.
